Toki Tori 2+
SCORE: 88
I am thankful Family Friendly Gaming was provided a download code for
Toki Tori 2+ on the Playstation 4. This bird based puzzle game will make
family members think. The game play mechanics build upon one another. It
did not take long to move from one game play mechanic to the next one in
Toki Tori 2+. Most of the puzzles can be solved by comprehending the
game's physics.
Our yellow rotund bird can effortless float to the ground from heights.
He can't be directed while gliding down. I wish I could have done that
in a few instances. Floating in a bubble is the same thing. It can
depend on how the ceilings are set up to determine which direction the
birdie will float. Bigger birds will grab us (and other creatures) and
fly us to their nests. The bigger birds need to see us though. Hiding in
tall grass or the dark will not get a free ride.
Toki Tori 2+ is bright and vibrant in the color scheme. A variety of
creatures can be squashed by larger objects in Toki Tori 2+. Sometimes
the player needs to have them squished and other instances we need to
try and keep them alive. Frogs will eat some of these creatures, and
once our yellow bird stomps near them a bubble will appear. I assume the
frogs eat those smaller critters.
The music is really nice in Toki Tori 2+. Our yellow bird can sing
songs. Certain songs will do certain special skills. Like what? For
instance small, small, large, large will respawn you back at the last
continuation point. That song is very important when a mistake is made
or you get completely stuck. Toki Tori 2+ made me think about the
different creatures and how to use them to progress.
I enjoyed my time with this downloadable only home console video game.
It weighs eight hundred megs, so a bit under one gig. It should not tax
the Internet plan too badly. I do wish Toki Tori 2+ was being sold in
the much sought after physical copy format in the United States of
America. Certain areas require some complex methods to pass through
them. If you do get stuck in Toki Tori 2+ look around and see what can
interact with what else. Maybe you need to have one frog put the other
one in a bubble. Maybe you need to whistle to turn a frog around. Maybe
you need another creature to come over and whistle.
