Tsuro

I am very thankful Family Friendly Gaming was provided a download code for Tsuro on the iOS platform. This is a board game that has been translated into the digital download format. Families go through the tutorial the first time they play Tsuro. Then families pick how many players there are, and pick from three cards to lay tiles down. The tiles have multiple paths on them.

The goal of Tsuro is to stay on the board as long as possible. This is done by looping around, and staying away from the edges. Each player must place a tile (on their turn) in front of their stone. They also can not go straight off the edge of the board as long as their is another option available to them. Tsuro will try and keep players alive. Well their stone characters at least.

The graphics in Tsuro are nice. I loved the little special animation when I crossed one of my previous paths. The music in Tsuro is pleasant, and enhances the game play experience. The touch screen controls work really well in Tsuro. They are very limited with tapping cards to rotate them, and dragging them to put them on the board. Then watch your stone move along the path until it reaches an open space.

Multiple family members can enjoy Tsuro locally at the same time. Just pass the iPad, or iPhone around. There is the less sought after online mode if you are willing to turn your Facebook account over to this hand held video game. I stopped messing with online modes some time ago. Too many dangers, and too many problems. It is safer with the offline modes in my personal opinion.

If you want to practice you can play Tsuro by yourself. There are three computer difficulty characters that can be added to Tsuro as well. The more players there are the faster the game will go in Tsuro. I had fun playing Tsuro, and so did everyone else here at Family Friendly Gaming. I hope to see more games like Tsuro in the future. This game might work on the PS Vita.
