WordWorld Planes, Trains, and Trucks

Family Friendly Gaming was provided a DVD for WordWorld Planes, Trains, and Trucks recently. This educational television show from PBS takes one hundred minutes to watch. Kids learn letters, word sounds, sounding out words, blending word parts into words, and the beginning of reading. I like how WordWorld Planes, Trains, and Trucks teaches kids how to learn to sound out words.

Since this DVD comes from PBS then you can expect some liberal teachings in it as well. Like what kinds of liberal teachings? Do not compete, instead cooperate. Which in my mind supports monopolies, and goes against the proven concept of competition. Competition also brings us new innovations, and inventions. WordWorld Planes, Trains, and Trucks references its partnership with the bloated government's educational department. I am not surprised that two organizations that receive tax dollars would work together.

The core of WordWorld Planes, Trains, and Trucks is letters come together and they spell words. When this happens they turn into that exact word. So a duck comes from spelling the word and is alive. The animation is okay. I am not that fond of the voice acting in WordWorld Planes, Trains, and Trucks. There is no strong voices, they are all wimpy, and scared.

Aside from the educational concepts of learning words, sounding words out, and spelling I noticed some other lessons in WordWorld Planes, Trains, and Trucks. When others refuse to respect your wishes and what you are trying to do; then give up and let them have their way. Think of others, and be quiet. I wonder if teachers will implement the lessons in WordWorld Planes, Trains, and Trucks in their own lives.

WordWorld Planes, Trains, and Trucks comes with an activity booklet insert for kids. The episodes on WordWorld Planes, Trains, and Trucks are Duck's Family Reunion, Back on Track, Pl-Pl-Plane, The Race to Mystery Island, Wee Little Whale, Rocket to the Moon, Race to the Spaceship, and Flying Ant. WordWorld Planes, Trains, and Trucks is a great example of entertainment is always teaching something.
