AreaA

I extend my thanks to SOEDESCO for sending Family Friendly Gaming a digital download code for AreaA on the Playstation 4. This downloadable only title is also available on the PC, and Xbox One. I hope AreaA earns the right to a physical copy version in the US in the future. This musical role playing video game deserves it. The weapons and story revolve around music in AreaA. We are tasked with retrieving these important musical instruments.

Multiple family members can work together in AreaA. At the start families can pick Jacques, Wolff, Jules, or Claude. They each have different game play styles and weapons. I like Jacques because he is the tank. He can walk up to enemies and take them out easily. Characters will level up while you hack and slash your way through the enemies. The enemies are easy. I had more trouble with spike traps in AreaA than the enemies. The static camera also caused me issues.

We ran into a variety of strange glitches while playing AreaA. Characters walked through closed doors, attack button stopped working, and more. These were minor irritations though. The music in AreaA is fantastic. The colors are fantastic, and there is good details in the graphics. AreaA reminds me of Gauntlet video games. Just with a deep musical theme.

Expect to spend some time going through AreaA. I like how AreaA is geared toward the younger members of the family. At least the ones above the age of ten. I rarely ran into problems while playing AreaA with getting through an area. Grinding was not required very often in this save the world video game. There are some magical elements inside AreaA.

AreaA is a 3.78 gig download. If you purchase this game be sure you have open space on your hard drive and Internet plan. A basic reading ability is needed to play AreaA. Quest icons are over spots but you need to go to certain areas to progress the story. Voice acting directions would have been appreciated. I had fun playing AreaA on the Playstation 4.
