Batman The Killing Joke

Batman The Killing Joke is one of those movies I was curious about. I knew it would fail on our scale. I knew it would have some messed up content within it. Batman The Killing Joke might be one of the tamest Restricted movies I have ever seen. I do agree with the rating based on the gross, disgusting, and repulsive content found within it. There are some interesting comparisons between Batman and Joker in this movie.

I used my own spending money to purchase Batman The Killing Joke. SPOILER ALERT! The premise is Joker breaks out of Arkham Asylum again and he shoots Barbara Gordon. He then rapes her and takes pictures while her spine is broken and she is bleeding. He kidnaps Commissioner Gordon and strips him naked. Then puts him on a fair ride while chained by midgets and forces him to look at the pictures of his daughter. Pretty repulsive stuff.

Batman The Killing Joke starts out showing us Batgirl and her partnership with Batman. Batman The Killing Joke contains blood, violence, death, rape, sexual deviancy, lack of attire, enticement to lust, sex outside of marriage, bad language, twisted story and more. The ending of Batman The Killing Joke make no sense to me. I get the joke at the end but I do not comprehend why Batman laughs.

In Batman The Killing Joke the Joker is trying to prove that all it takes is one bad day for someone to go insane. I found it interesting that Joker wants his past to be multiple choice. A very delusional thing to say in my opinion. The art work in Batman The Killing Joke reminds me of Batman TAS in many ways. It is definitely more adult though. Which is a shame. But then it takes a twisted mind to create a story like Batman The Killing Joke.

I can not recommend Batman The Killing Joke to families in any way, shape or form. I have satisfied my curiousity and will not watch the Blu-ray or DVD of Batman The Killing Joke again. Most of the bonus content within Batman The Killing Joke is promotional of the product and how great these people think it is. They are of course being paid by Batman The Killing Joke.
