Blasting Agent Ultimate Edition
SCORE: 60
It is cool that Family Friendly Gaming was given a digital download
code for Blasting Agent Ultimate Edition on the Playstation 4. This is a
retro looking video game. In fact I would place the graphics somewhere
between the Atari 5200 and the Atari 7800. How is that for retro graphic
dating? Sort of like carbon dating, except mine is actually accurate and
reliable. Yes I just burned carbon dating.
Blasting Agent Ultimate Edition reminds me of games like Contra. We are
constantly shooting our weapon at a variety of different blocky
characters. Blasting Agent Ultimate Edition could be described as a 2D
Minecraft done in the original NES style. The background graphics do
remind me of NES video games. I will try and leave the graphics alone
for the rest of this review.
Blasting Agent Ultimate Edition has okay music that helped me while I
tried to figure out the patterns of the AI. I was confused by the AI
most of Blasting Agent Ultimate Edition. I was not sure what they were
doing. I could not figure out why the AI was not trying to get me most
of the time. Well some of the enemies came after me, and others did not.
Some fell through holes and some jumped toward me.
Are you a hardcore gamer? Have people called you a hardcore hater
before? If so, then you might be interested in Blasting Agent Ultimate
Edition. This is a challenging game that rewards exploration. You will
find more hearts, and better weapons by looking around the levels. It is
really easy to die in Blasting Agent Ultimate Edition. I did that quite
a bit as I played this downloadable only retro video game.
The controls are a bit confusing in Blasting Agent Ultimate Edition. I
am not pleased as to where the fire button was placed. I also noticed I
could use the joystick to move around. I had to use the D-pad to go up
those light pillar elevators. I could not use the joystick. That really
frustrated me. Expect to repeat areas and levels as you die frequently
in Blasting Agent Ultimate Edition.
