Caveman Warriors
SCORE: 65
Through a minor miscalculation Family Friendly Gaming was given a
digital download code for Caveman Warriors on the Nintendo Switch and
Steam (Personal Computer). This is a game for the hardcore gamers.
Expect Caveman Warriors to challenge you. Expect Caveman Warriors to
frustrate you. Expect Caveman Warriors to feel cheap like old arcade
games. There is one major difference though.
What is the major difference between Caveman Warriors and old arcade
games? In the old arcade games you could plug in another quarter to
continue. In Caveman Warriors you will need to make it to the next check
point with five lives. Caveman Warriors is a 383 megabyte sized file. Up
to four family members can play Caveman Warriors. If you play Caveman
Warriors by yourself then you can swap between the characters.
The graphics in Caveman Warriors are on the small side. Caveman Warriors
looks okay for an indie game. There is violent content found within
Caveman Warriors. There is also lack of attire and enticement to lust.
Knock backs can be a real problem in Caveman Warriors. The worst part is
when we are knocked back on small platforms. Expect to die early and
often in Caveman Warriors.
I like some of the music in Caveman Warriors. The menu screen music is a
great example of this. There are plenty of annoying vibrations on the
Nintendo Switch version of Caveman Warriors. The level of cheap deaths
in Caveman Warriors has been upgraded to the maximum allowed. Each of
the four characters has different skills that are useful in certain
parts of specific levels.
I did not expect much of or from Caveman Warriors. This downloadable
only 2D side scrolling action adventure video game fits into the mold so
many other indie games are in. There is one clever feature, and it is
ultra difficult. I know plenty of families and casual gamers will never
give Caveman Warriors any attention because of this. I also know of
plenty of people who will never consider Caveman Warriors because there
is no physical copy.
