Duck Tales Woo-oo!

I am very thankful Disney sent Family Friendly Gaming a reviewable copy of Duck Tales Woo-oo! on DVD. Kid Gamer and I did an Unboxing of this right here. I am a Duck Tales purist. I have seen most of the older Duck Tales cartoon and really liked it. So many of my opinions are based on the previous show. A lot of things have changed in this remake. Most of it is changes for the worse in my opinion.

Some of the voices in Duck Tales Woo-oo! are just wrong. The kids do not even sound like kids. Launch Pad's voice does not fit the part. Mrs Beakley does not look the part. I can deal with Scrooge McDuck and Donald Duck's voices just fine. I do not mind the changes to Flintheart Glomgold. I do question why so many mystical and dangerous items were in the garage.

It took me forty-four minutes to watch Duck Tales Woo-oo! on DVD. There were also six bonus shorts introducing us to various characters in Duck Tales Woo-oo!. I got through them while setting up for this review. So it did not take long at all. Probably they were at the level of a commercial on television. I love how the theme song was kept very close to the original one.

There is plenty of humor in Duck Tales Woo-oo!. There is also some action adventure violence, ghosts, and magical elements. I am not a big fan of the art style in Duck Tales Woo-oo!. It is slightly better than that new Mickey Mouse. To me it is not as good as the original. How can that even happen this many years later? The art work should be way better in Duck Tales Woo-oo!.

The most shocking thing to me in Duck Tales Woo-oo! is when one of the kids encourages Webby to lie. She does multiple times. She is not even punished for it. I found that really shocking, especially coming from Disney. I miss the old Webby character who was sweet and kind. The one in Duck Tales Woo-oo! acts like a ninja. This does not work for me. It feels wrong. Like her lying.

I hope the new Duck Tales show gets better in future episodes. All I have of it to base an opinion is Duck Tales Woo-oo! on DVD. I like the idea of Duck Tales coming back. For now the original is still better in my opinion.
