Elena of Avalor Celebrations to Remember
SCORE: 70
I am very thankful Disney sent Family Friendly Gaming a copy of Elena
of Avalor Celebrations to Remember on DVD. Did you see our boys doing
the Unboxing video? If not click
here. They also did a swag box unboxing
here. Elena of Avalor Celebrations to Remember is all about the
celebrations during certain holidays. There is Day of the Dead,
Christmas, Carnival, and Quinceañera.
The episodes on the disc are A Day to Remember, Navidad, King of the
Carnaval, and My Fair Naomi. Elena of Avalor Celebrations to Remember
also has two bonus episodes. They are Crystal in the Rough, and Captain
Turner Returns. Elena of Avalor Celebrations to Remember also comes with
an Elena Locket. She is wearing the yellow dress from A Day to Remember.
The boys showed that locket in the unboxing video. If you have not
checked it out, you really should.
It takes ninety-two minutes to watch the main episodes on Elena of
Avalor Celebrations to Remember. The two bonus are normal sized episodes
that add to the time. The animation and voice acting are good in Elena
of Avalor Celebrations to Remember. There are plenty of songs, and words
in Spanish. Many lessons from previous Disney shows can also be found in
Elena of Avalor Celebrations to Remember.
The issues families can have with Elena of Avalor Celebrations to
Remember are scary images, ghosts, spirit animals, and more. Elena of
Avalor Celebrations to Remember teaches us to not be competitive.
Instead it teaches us to work together. I also learned how bad it is to
keep secrets, lie, cheat, and steal. Capitalism is shown as a bad thing
in Elena of Avalor Celebrations to Remember.
Something about Elena of Avalor Celebrations to Remember confuses me.
There are certain holidays in these episodes that are not associated
with Spain. Day of the Dead is connected with Mexico. Thing is Mexico is
not known for a monarchy. There is also Carnaval which is more
associated with Brazil. Spain is known for a monarchy, and also speaks
Spanish. So I am having problems figuring out where Avalor is supposed
to be. I know it is a fantasy world.
The bonus episodes deal with going to school for the first time, and
Naomi's mother coming home. Which also touches on moving the family for
a new job. Elena of Avalor Celebrations to Remember encourages us to
make the right choice.Elena of Avalor Celebrations to Remember also
teaches Christmas is about spending time with your loved one, and
spreading love. I found nothing about birth of Christ in Elena of Avalor
Celebrations to Remember.
