Eureka Season One
SCORE: 64
I did not catch Eureka when it was on TV. I saw commercials for it on
other older television shows so I decided to purchase the first season
ad see what it was like. Eureka Season One impressed me in a couple of
ways. This hidden town has the smartest scientists in the world. They
are constantly inventing new and cool science fiction stuff. An US
Marshall (Jack Carter) winds up getting stuck there and helps them out
on the pilot episode. He gets transferred there and becomes the new
sheriff.
Eureka Season One has a few issues families need to be notified of.
There is bad language, enticement to lust, lack of attire, attacks on
marriage, blood, violence, alcohol, and more. The whole attacks on
marriage bothers me the most. There are married characters messing
around with other marriage characters who are not their spouses. They
are going through divorces but they are not finalized. Eureka Season One
teases they will get back together, and then the other person not their
spouse.
There are only twelve episodes on Eureka Season One. It takes nine hours
and eighteen minutes to watch Eureka Season One. There is plenty of
humor in Eureka Season One. The smart house the sheriff has is amazing.
Just do not suggest you might move since it has separation anxiety
issues. The AI in that smart house has emotions. Sheriff Jack Carter is
out of his element so often in Eureka Season One.
The bonus content included with Eureka Season One is Pilot Episode with
audio commentary, deleted scenes with audio commentary, webisodes,
outakes with audio commentary, podcasts, and Made in Eureka Mock
Infomercials. There is certain content I wish was not in Eureka Season
One. The premise is interesting, and the characters are good. I feel bad
for the sheriff since his daughter breaks so many rules.
At the end of Eureka Season One we are still left with mysteries. The
therapist is working for some organization trying to get ahold of some
artifact. We are not clear on what this Section 5 artifact is. I enjoyed
watching Eureka Season One. I will check out future seasons as time and
money open up for me. I am curious to see how certain characters develop
in this show.
