Fearful Symmetry & The Cursed Prince
SCORE: 64
Family Friendly Gaming was offered a digital download code for
Fearful Symmetry & The Cursed Prince on the PC (via the Steam software),
and the Xbox One. It was decided to reject the Personal Computer code,
and to accept the Xbox One code. I did some research and did not find a
physical copy version of Fearful Symmetry & The Cursed Prince available
for the millions upon millions of physical copy gamers.
Fearful Symmetry & The Cursed Prince is a puzzle game. We control two
characters on the screen. One is on the left and one is on the right. We
are expected to get both of them to the end of the level safely. We have
to avoid traps, spikes, fire, ghosts, bear traps, ghouls, and more.
There can be some nasty animations when one of your poor characters goes
somewhere the game does not want them to go.
Each level in Fearful Symmetry & The Cursed Prince has one solution. You
must find that solution while remembering moving the guy on the left
side of the screen to the left will move the guy on the right side of
the screen to the right. This concept can be a bit difficult to hold
onto while moving them quickly through the traps. Certain levels are
definitely time based in Fearful Symmetry & The Cursed Prince. I mean
there are traps you must move away from quickly. In some levels you must
keep moving from start to the finish or one of your guys will be
finished.
The graphics in Fearful Symmetry & The Cursed Prince are indie. I saw
some red flashes that made me think of blood. The music is okay, and
there are tons of achievements to earn in Fearful Symmetry & The Cursed
Prince. This downloadable only home console and PC video game is harder
than I thought it would be. I saw a little bit of Fearful Symmetry & The
Cursed Prince and expected it to be a breeze. It gets hard pretty
quickly.
I know the concept of controlling two characters at the same time in a
puzzle level based video game is nothing new. Fearful Symmetry & The
Cursed Prince throws a bit of darkness into the mix to differentiate
itself from all those other games. If you are up for a downloadable only
challenge and do not mind failing a lot then you might be interested in
Fearful Symmetry & The Cursed Prince.
