Fishing Master
SCORE: 83
It has taken the Playstation 4 VR some months to get going. There
have been plenty of misses in the PS4 VR realm. Fishing Master is not a
miss. In fact Fishing Master is one of those hits. It is not all oatmeal
cream pies with Fishing Master though. When I first started to play
Fishing Master the controls were glitchy. I had to completely reboot the
Playstation 4 to get it working right. To be fair I have had this
problem with other PS4 VR games. I also had two PS Move controllers on.
Fishing Master lets us go to nine different locations to fish. There are
multiple different kinds of fish in Fishing Master too. I loved being
able to grab them and look at them after catching them. The controls in
Fishing Master worked really well (once I was past the initial
glitches). I love being able to open my bag and change things that were
purchased at the store. Oh yes we can purchase better gear in Fishing
Master.
There are some fun missions in Fishing Master. The fish get
progressively more difficult in Fishing Master. I hated it when the fish
would decide to jump on me. I loved getting them close enough to my boat
so I could lift them up and in. Fishing Master has some neat realistic
aspects to it. Like how the fish look. Fishing Master looks really nice.
Not just the VR portion. All of the graphics were nice to look at.
The sounds, voice acting, and music are fantastic in Fishing Master. I
love how Fishing Master is explained to the player. That reminds me, you
only need one Playstation Move controller to play Fishing Master. I
started with two of them, and that may have been why there were some PS4
VR glitches. When I started Fishing Master with just one Playstation
Move controller things were fine.
Fishing Master is a downloadable only virtual reality video game that is
3.7 gigs in terms of size. Family will get some hours of entertainment
out of Fishing Master. Make sure you leave room around you since the
Playstation Move controller flings around in multiple different
directions. Like we try to hook a fish, and when we bring the fish into
the boat. It is easy to hit someone if they are too close to you.
Fishing Master is one of the few VR games I enjoy. That is saying quite
a lot. Family Friendly Gaming has been pretty down on VR games because
of all of the failures. I hope Fishing Master matures into a physical
copy version. It is like Job Simulator - it needs to grow into the
physical copy version. I enjoyed my time playing Fishing Master on the
PS4 VR.
