Legna Tactica

I am grateful Family Friendly Gaming was provided a digital download code for Legna Tactica on the Nintendo 3DS. There is no physical copy version of this game. Empires and kingdoms go to war in the lands of Feyzum. The main character and his friends join General Varrius on a mission to suppress the bandits. Like most role playing games there is so much more beyond the surface.

Legna Tactica is a strategy role playing game. Like Fire Emblem. In fact I compared Legna Tactica to Fire Emblem while I played it. Similar SRPG battles - meaning they take a long time. There are not enough save opportunities in Legna Tactica. This is one of my biggest issues with this hand held video game. I had to sit for an hour to beat certain areas before I could save again.

The issues families and parents will have with Legna Tactica is violence, lack of attire, enticement to lust, bad language, magic, and more. The music is really good in Legna Tactica. Which is something Family Friendly Gaming has come to expect from KEMCO published video games. The controls in Legna Tactica are really good. I liked being able to speed up the battles in this SRPG video game.

Legna Tactica has one major improvement over the Fire Emblem franchise. What is it? Deaths are not permanent. Which means Legna Tactica is more like Shining Force (the king and still ruler of the SRPG genre). Understanding elemental attacks is very important. As well as picking the right path on the skill tree upgrades. Legna Tactica made me think about more than just the battles.

There is plenty of replay value in Legna Tactica. There are multiple endings after all. How is the multiple endings controlled in Legna Tactica? Players are given choices along the way. This determines which ending you will receive. So if you want to receive a different ending you will need to make different choices. I enjoyed playing Legna Tactica on the Nintendo 3DS.
