MLB 2004
SCORE: 75
There are people that love 989 Sports video games and there are people that hate them. I am in the middle. I like some things in MLB 2004, and there are some things that I wish were not in there. The lag between swinging and getting a hit is one of those things. It can be difficult to hit in MLB 2004. Once you get the timing then it can be impossible for the defense to stop you. Hot or cold.
MLB 2004 looks good for the era with large characters, and decent camera angles. There are some neat special effects and the baseball parks look okay. The announcers have good sound bytes here and there. I was able to purchase MLB 2004 on the Playstation 2 for $1.95. I got my moneys worth out of this sports video game.
There are multiple difficulty settings and options in MLB 2004. That makes this baseball video game approachable by more members of the family. MLB 2004 is also on the original Playstation if you do not own a PS2. I did not play that version but I expect it would be similar. I enjoyed my time with MLB 2004. It is a solid baseball game that requires a bit of practice.
