Mega Maze

I am grateful Family Friendly Gaming was provided a digital download code for Mega Maze on the Wii U. This is an indie home console video game families can get into. Why? Because players walk around in 3D mazes trying to find the exit. What does the exit look like? It is like an orb of explosive color. I thought maybe it would be a black spot with the word EXIT written on it. I was obviously wrong.

There are sixty levels in Mega Maze. They start really easy and teach the player how to play Mega Maze. They get more difficult as time progresses. Families can have the walls see through, or not. That means you can make Mega Maze even more difficult if you choose to. Why would you choose to? I have no idea. I like to see through the walls the figure out how to get the keys.

Mega Maze has a maze editor. That means you can make your very own mazes in Mega Maze. There is an online option to check out the mazes that other players have created. That really helps the replay value to Mega Maze. I need to note that Mega Maze has indie graphics. Even then Mega Maze looks okay. I have seen many way worse looking indie games in my life time.

The music in Mega Maze is pretty fresh. Like it is a prince of Bel-Aires or something. Or a new day that rocks. I hope you caught some of my references there. If not send an email in and they will be explained to you. Why? Because you can't teach that. There I go with other references. I hope you enjoy some of the Easter Eggs put into this review. I worked long and hard to create them.

I had fun playing Mega Maze. I wish this game is a part of the physical copy indie games movement Family Friendly Gaming has suggested to the video game industry. Maybe in upcoming years that will become reality. I agree with the editor in chief on making the video game industry great again. Yes I had to throw one more reference in there. Part of the fun of reading a FFG Review is finding all of the references.
