Party Planet
SCORE: 85
I am very thankful Mastiff sent Family Friendly Gaming a retail
version of Party Planet on the Nintendo Switch. This game can be
purchased in physical copy format at Gamestop or Electronics Boutique.
There is also a digital version of this game. Teen Gamer did an Unboxing
of Party Planet. That can be found
here. Kid
Gamer joined the video partially and late. I was not on site for that
video which is part of the reason it came out so wild.
There are thirty mini games in Party Planet. Eighteen of them are
multiplayer. The multiplayer mini games in Party Planet can be played in
competitive or cooperative fashion. Many of the mini games in Party
Planet will feel familiar. I found Air Hockey, Snake, Joust, Memory, and
others in Party Planet. Well clones of them I should say. That is not a
bad thing since these are entertaining and fun games.
The music in Party Planet is fantastic. I loved listening to it while
playing these games. The menu music in Party Planet is stellar. The
graphics look nice in Party Planet as well. There is some cartoon
violence in many of these mini games. Nothing above the level of a
normal Mario video game if you catch my drift. Party Planet reminds me
of the Family Party 30 Great Games franchise.
We had a blast playing the mini games in Party Planet. We are planning
on doing a video or more on playing this game. So keep your eyes peeled
for that coming to our Youtube channel. Probably in 2018 since we have
such a backlog. But you never know when we will surprise you with a new,
cool, and awesome video. At least we try to achieve that hype. We are
human and far from perfect. As the Unboxing video showed.
As I write this review Party Planet is selling for $39.99. I feel that
is a fair price for all of the content included. Your family will need
to work on mini games to unlock additional ones. Party Planet calls it
ranking up. We had so much fun playing these mini games that we did not
mind working to unlock additional games. In other words not all thirty
are accessible immediately.
I hope to see more games like Party Planet in the near future. I love
how Party Planet earned the much sought after physical copy edition. I
know many of ya'll in the physical copy movement will be looking at
Party Planet. I wish this game was released before our Christmas Buying
Guide because it would have made an appearance. It should appear in next
years Christmas Buying Guide.
