Punch Club
SCORE: 63
I heard a lot about Punch Club. This role playing video game with
management simulation aspects resonated with quite a few people. Players
train their fighter on the quest to find out who brutally murdered your
father in the street. Plenty of fights are available in Punch Club.
There are the legal and the illegal fights. Punch Club can be played in
hard, normal, or super easy. Super easy is the way to learn how to play
Punch Club without losing stats along the way.
Why would you lose your stats in Punch Club? That is simple to answer.
Players must work to earn money. They must use money to buy food to
restore their hunger. They must also rest to have energy to do just
about anything. The balance in Punch Club is you lose hunger while you
rest. You also lose hunger and energy while training. You need to train
to be strong enough to win the fights.
I checked with others here at Family Friendly Gaming who played Punch
Club on Steam. They love how the character can move around freely in the
PS4 and Xbox One versions now. I noticed it could be a pain trying to
get to the couch by that phone. This is a minor quibble of course. They
also told me Punch Club looks a bit more pixelated than the Personal
Computer version.
The bad content in Punch Club that families need to be informed of are
blood, violence, profanity, crude humor, alcohol, drugs, and crime. I
love stopping crime in Punch Club. I will admit that Punch Club gives
you a choice to stop the criminals or leave them alone. Based on my
personality I always stood up to the criminals. I care more about
victims than criminals personally.
The stats in Punch Club are heart, food, happiness, and energy. Building
up your character in Punch Club is important, since you have no control
in the fights. You will sit there watching it. Moves can be swapped out
between rounds if you think something will work better. Punch Club can
be very addicting. I kept wanting to get a certain stat to the next
level, get money, get food, go fight, etc.
I appreciate tinyBuild sending Family Friendly Gaming a digital download
code for Punch Club on the Xbox One. Punch Club has conquered nearly all
of the current systems. In my opinion Punch Club only needs to conquer
the physical copy realm next. Maybe tinyBuild will do a game compilation
disc or something. WMG requested this game be ported to consoles and
that happened. You never know what the future holds.
