Robonauts

I appreciate Qubic Games. I appreciate that they gave us a digital download code for Robonauts on the Nintendo Switch. This planet hopping robotic video game can also be found on the Playstation 4. Robonauts starts with an awesome looking animation where we see a Wall-E like cleaning robot on a ship. The little robot comes across battle mech like gear. Foreshadowing perhaps?

We go around on these small planets in a 2D game fashion shooting all these creatures. We have a primary and a secondary weapon. Robonauts can be played in single player, cooperation, or hunting grounds. Robonauts provides for Casual and Hardcore games with a mode for each. There are plenty of enemies that appear in Robonauts. There are twelve planetary systems in Robonauts. They can seem small until you realize enemies keep coming to the planets.

There is certainly a challenge in Robonauts. Especially when more difficult enemies are added to the mix. There is a gateway to get to in Robonauts after the mission has been accomplished. Those missions change with the levels as well. We may have to kill all the enemies, or destroy certain objects. The planets are pretty close so you can jump from one planet and shoot enemies on another planet in most cases.

The music in Robonauts is fantastic. The graphics are way better than I was expecting. There are plenty of explosions and fire from the weapons we use in Robonauts. There are power ups in Robonauts that last for a limited time. I wish some of those weapons would have been permanent upgrades. At least let us save up for them as permanent upgrades. Robonauts is also a downloadable only game. Physical copy gamers will not be able to experience this 693 meg game.

I was pleasantly surprised by Robonauts. I thought it would be another mindless get them before they get me shoot and kill them all video game. The different missions kept me mentally engaged. Multiple family members can play Robonauts at the same time. I wish there were a few more levels. I like how there are different modes. The music is great to listen to in Robonauts.
