Zordix made some interesting racing games over the years. I am
ecstatic that Family Friendly Gaming was given a digital download code
for Snow Moto Racing Freedom on the Playstation 4. We were actually
given a Steam code but we could not get it working on our aging gaming
PC. Zordix was kind enough to provide us a PS4 code. This is a snow
mobile racing game.
The very first thing Snow Moto Racing Freedom taught me is patience. The
loading screens take some time. Once you get to the race you better be
ready to go because this racing game gets you right into the racing
action. The areas in Snow Moto Racing Freedom are huge. Which is
probably why the loading took so long. The races were challenging for me
at first.
Let me give you a tip on racing in Snow Moto Racing Freedom. When you
need to take sharp turns, let off of the gas. It will help you make a
much tighter turn. I used this on the gates in Snow Moto Racing Freedom
where I need to make a U-turn to go through them the right direction. I
had fun racing in Snow Moto Racing Freedom when I learned how to turn
better.
Snow Moto Racing Freedom contains Championship, Single Events, Local
Multiplayer, Online Multiplayer, Controls, Profile, and Options. Under
Championship there is Sprint League, Snocross, and Freedom League. Under
Single Event there is Sprint, Snocross, Freestyle, and Leisure. Leisure
is like a sandbox mode where you can drive around the areas and see just
how large they are.
I ran into a few glitches while playing Snow Moto Racing Freedom. My
snowmobile would get partially lost inside a mountain climbing up a
steep slope. Another example was getting too close to a tree and flying
way up in the sky and getting turned around. Snow Moto Racing Freedom
has three visual viewpoints. They are third person, first person, and a
second third person.
Snow Moto Racing Freedom is not a perfect racing game. It is solid
enough that families can enjoy it. Snow Moto Racing Freedom also leaves
out any content that families will be offended by. Crashing is the worst
thing I saw in this downloadable only winter racing video game. I would
love to see Snow Moto Racing Freedom in the physical copy format in the
future.
