Sudden Strike 4

Sudden Strike 4 is a video games based off of World War II. This video game can be found on the Personal Computer (PC), and Playstation 4 (PS4). There is a physical copy version of Sudden Strike 4 available at retail. Family Friendly Gaming was given a digital download code. I am very sorry we are not able to do an Unboxing video of a digital download code like we can with a physical copy version of a game.

Sudden Strike 4 is a real time strategy game without collecting all of the resources. We make squads and send them on missions. The missions in Sudden Strike 4 are really long. We have multiple objectives in each mission. Using cover and sneaking up on the enemies is key to a good victory with as few casualties as possible. The overhead graphics look good albeit a bit small.

The issues families will have with Sudden Strike 4 is blood, violence, bad language, lack of attire, enticement to lust, and more. I liked the voice acting in Sudden Strike 4. I also liked the music. The graphics fit for me. I was a bit surprised by the blood and dead bodies. I suppose Sudden Strike 4 is going for World War II realism. That reminds me of something. Why is the video game industry so obsessed with WWII?

Older members of the family only can play the Tutorial, German Campaign, Soviet Campaign, Allied Campaign, and Skirmish. The modes in Sudden Strike 4 are Single Player, Multiplayer, Settings, Load, and Extras. Extras are mainly neat videos and pictures from that era. You will need a Playstation Plus membership to play Sudden Strike 4 online. There is no local multiplayer mode in Sudden Strike 4.

Fans of war games can get into Sudden Strike 4. This 6.1 gig game made me think strategically. I kept wanting to keep my men safe. Since there is fog of war, I had to take it slow in moving my men. I also kept them in as much cover as possible. I enjoyed playing Sudden Strike 4 on the Playstation 4. The controls took some time to comprehend. I do not get why we use 'X' to select troops, and then 'O' to tell them where to go. Why not use 'X' for both of them?
