Swim Out

Family Friendly Gaming was given a digital download code for Swim Out on Steam. This Personal Computer (PC) video game is a turn based puzzle game. We have a swimmer and we need to get them out of the water. How do you do that? We swim over to the one spot in these small pools that allow us the ability to climb out. The ladder spot I think it is called.

The music in Swim Out is nice. I appreciate the fact Family Friendly Gaming was given a digital download code for Swim Out on the PC. The only way I could see Swim Out getting a physical copy is if it came out on the Nintendo 3DS or Playstation Vita. Are they still making physical games for the Playstation Vita? I don't know even know. Any of ya'll members of Family Friendly Gaming Universe know?

There are a variety of things that can get in your way in Swim Out. We are the blue swimmer in Swim Out. We need to watch out for the red ones. Is this trying to tell us something about the Crips and Bloods? We move around with the arrow keys, or the mouse. There are no WASD controls in Swim Out. The puzzles in Swim Out start easy and get progressively more difficult.

There are some cool power ups in Swim Out that will stop a certain other swimmer for a turn or two. Please note that not all of the swimmers move in each turn. That makes us be more strategic. There are objects in the levels that will also hurt the player and the other swimmers. Those waves that came out every fourth turn were nasty in getting through. I learned to avoid them and work my way around them.

Some of the sounds in Swim Out are creepy. Graphically Swim Out looks indie. There is a real lack of animations. I had fun playing Swim Out on the PC. Puzzle gamers can enjoy Swim Out. Once you solve a puzzle there is little reason to replay it though. There are one hundred levels in Swim Out. Many of the levels in Swim Out are short and small. Just like the download size.
