The Golf Club Collector’s Edition

The Golf Club Collector’s Edition is a fun game on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One. It tries to make golf video games a community thing. Families can create their own golf course, and play one another locally (up to four family members). There are a lot of courses out there. Each family member must play four courses to get their handicap. That handicap will be adjusted based on how they do on each additional course.

I do have one major problem with The Golf Club Collector’s Edition. The controls are confusing. I never could figure out how to do the putting in The Golf Club Collector’s Edition. I had to guess each and every time. The same goes for the power. Other times I tried to slice left and the game sliced to the right. The Golf Club Collector’s Edition does not show us where the ball will go when we putt. A missed opportunity there.

There is a commentary who joins us in single games when we play The Golf Club Collector’s Edition. His comments are helpful in some instances and annoying in others. I know I missed the putt because I could not see the slope due to the grass graphics looking the same. The grid did not help me either. The wind is a big impact in The Golf Club Collector’s Edition too. What stinks is that it changes when your ball is in the air.

If you take too many strokes in The Golf Club Collector’s Edition then you will get cut off and disqualified on that hole. It is easier to do than you think - especially with the guess how powerful your hit will be. I wish the controls were better in The Golf Club Collector’s Edition. Pulling back with the right of left stick and then going forward is harder than I would have ever thought.

I like the graphics in The Golf Club Collector’s Edition. They do glitch here and there. The Golf Club Collector’s Edition can be very addicting too. I kept wanting to do better each time.
