The Onion Knights

I am grateful Family Friendly Gaming was given a digital download code for The Onion Knights on the Playstation 4. I did some research on The Onion Knights, and found it comes from an Android app. In a lot of ways The Onion Knights feels like a smaller and shorter Castle Storm. We protect our castle from these invading and attacking characters. We have a cannon that auto fires and heroes that can send impressive attacks into the hordes attacking.

Enemies come in waves in The Onion Knights. The cannon can be moved up and down. Which gives it really good range across most of the screen. Players upgrade the cannon, heroes, and more in The Onion Knights. There are also items that can be won, collected, and earned in The Onion Knights. It felt weird using 'O' to select things instead of 'X' in The Onion Knights.

The Onion Knights has some major controversy surrounding it. Since it involves the ESRB we should not be surprised. The Onion Knights is rated 'E' for Everyone SIX and OLDER ONLY. There are no descriptors listed for The Onion Knights. No cartoon violence, mild violence, suggestive themes that are actually in The Onion Knights. Castlestorm is a similar game and it is rated 'T' for THIRTEEN and OLDER. The Onion Knights should be rated 'E10+' with multiple descriptors listed. Yet again the ESRB fails families and has another scandal. Can we make it one month without the ESRB dropping the ball?

The Onion Knights has issues with violence, lack of attire, enticement to lust, alcohol, and more. After beating a level, players can go into the pub and work on building a jigsaw puzzle. There are four jigsaw puzzles in total in The Onion Knights. The music in The Onion Knights is fantastic. I loved listening to it over and over again. I never got tired of that song while I played this game with no physical copy version.

There is a real addictive component to The Onion Knights. I kept playing The Onion Knights over and over again. I kept beating levels to see the jigsaw puzzles. I also enjoyed upgrading my defenses to keep even worse enemies away. I also learned there is a limit to how many times the heroes can be used in any battle. Use them sparingly, or only in the last wave.
