Tiny Trax

I got excited when I first heard about Tiny Trax. I loved the idea of a Micro Machines like game in PS4 VR. I was even more excited when Family Friendly Gaming was given a digital download code for Tiny Trax. I figured this is one of those 2.4 gig downloads that I would insist needs a physical copy. Everyone else played Tiny Trax before me. Everyone told me the controls are bad.

I did not want to believe everyone else here at Family Friendly Gaming about the controls. So in my very first race I got lapped twice. In a five lap race. They finished and I was on the third lap. They would have lapped me again if it had six laps for a race. What was the problem? What went wrong for an expert gamer with decades of experience? Turns were my undoing. My car would stop if I did not turn right.

With such winding tracks in Tiny Trax, there are all kinds of turns. One mistake put me in last place in every race. I had to be perfect in the twelve tracks. Maybe that is why Tiny Trax is so hard. This frustrated me. This irritated me. It did not relax me. It did not de-stress me. I could see Tiny Trax being that way on ultra hard mode. But not on easy mode when we first start out.

I ran into some glitch collision issues in Tiny Trax too. I had trouble figuring out why the computer controlled cars could boost so much longer than me. The computer controlled cars did everything better than me. Tiny Trax looks nice. I had trouble seeing some areas on some of the tracks. I enjoyed listening to the music in Tiny Trax. I wish I had more fun with this game.

I love the idea of Tiny Trax. Everyone here at Family Friendly Gaming is telling me I am being way too nice with my scoring. I see a lot of promise in Tiny Trax. The difficulty and sensitivity of the turning is the biggest problem. The difficulty curve should be a curve and not a cliff face straight up. If you are looking for a challenging VR racing game that won't make you sick, then check out Tiny Trax. Remember I did warn you on the difficulty.
