Ubisoft provided Family Friendly Gaming with a digital download code
for Wheel of Fortune on the Xbox One. This television game show video
game is also available in the physical copy format. Wheel of Fortune
looks good, and has a great voice for the host of the show. The
character models in Wheel of Fortune could be a bit better in my
opinion. They look like modern character models. Maybe a bit behind.
When you first start to play Wheel of Fortune you are given a choice. Do
you want to play the tutorial or not. I generally found the tutorial is
not needed because each round is explained to you. Then you decide if
you want to play in online mode, local mode, customization,
leaderboards, or the Ubisoft Club. When you go into the local mode then
you can play a classic, quick, or family.
We ran into a nasty glitch while playing Wheel of Fortune. The
controllers for players two, and three will not move around the letters.
All three players had issues with the power gauge in Wheel of Fortune.
It was either not starting or going to the top. It was extremely
difficult to go with half power on the wheel spin. These glitches are
really disappointing to us because we really like Wheel of Fortune.
I hit bankrupt a lot in Wheel of Fortune. Be sure that you are really
good at spelling in Wheel of Fortune. If you are not then you might make
a mistake and lose a round because you misspell something. Do not laugh.
Why not? Because it happened to me - quite frequently. I learned not to
laugh at others when they made that mistake because I made it so often
myself.
After you play Wheel of Fortune a few times you will level up. That will
unlock customization. That customization was not available before the
first game of Wheel of Fortune. Which is a bit of a shame in my opinion.
Especially with the control glitches that meant only player one would
win. So we had to play Wheel of Fortune separately to unlock the
customization on different profiles.
There are four thousand puzzles in Wheel of Fortune on the Playstation
4, and Xbox One. I think Wheel of Fortune could be a really fun game. I
am shocked the control issues that are in Wheel of Fortune. We tried
everything here at Family Friendly Gaming. We rebooted the machine.
Tried different controllers and more. I hope Wheel of Fortune gets
cleaned up in the near future.
