Worcle Worlds

It makes me glad that Family Friendly Gaming was given a digital download code for Worcle Worlds on the Nintendo 3DS. This word game is a bit different than other word games I have played in the past. Worcle Worlds is about making words. We have a circle around us with letters. In the middle is our launcher and whatever letter we will launch into the circle.

Worcle Worlds is a great learning game that families can use to help their children recognize words and how to spell them. I learned quite a bit thanks to Worcle Worlds on the Nintendo 3DS. The first lesson that Worcle Worlds taught me is to avoid letting the letters fill the entire circle. If you let that happen you will lose that game, and get the dreaded game over screen.

Worcle Worlds is indie in the graphical department. Each of the ten worlds do have a different look and feel to them. Families can play Worcle Worlds in Solo or Battle Mode. In Battle Mode there is local or online. If you play local then both people need to have a copy of Worcle Worlds. In other words Worcle Worlds does not have download game play. Each device needs to own this game.

The music in Worcle Worlds is fantastic. It soothed me while I tried to figure out where to place my next letter. I love how Solo mode does not have a timer. Worcle Worlds lets families take their time in finding new words. I did not play Battle Mode so I do not know how that one functions. Combos are pretty cool in Worcle Worlds if you can find them. That is make one word, and as the letters come together they make another word.

I had a good time playing Worcle Worlds on the Nintendo 3DS. This is a fun little learning game that reminded me of Luxor with letters. Imagine if the letters were moving like they do in Luxor. That would be really crazy. It would also be much more challenging. I would love to see Worcle Worlds part of a Lightwood Games compilation come out in the physical copy format. The price for this downloadable game is a bit high in my opinion, especially compared to app prices.
