Anno 1701 Dawn of Discovery
SCORE: 85
After finding other Anno video games that
were interesting to play, I put Anno 1701 Dawn of Discovery on the video
game wish list. I am so thankful Family Friendly Gaming purchased a copy
of Anno 1701 Dawn of Discovery on the Nintendo DS. This is one neat
little city builder video game on the hand held. I wish there were more
city builders on the hand helds. I also wish the PR and Marketing had
not failed us so badly.
Anno 1701 Dawn of Discovery lets us play in Story Mode, Continuous Play,
Multiplayer, and Options. We can play Anno 1701 Dawn of Discovery in
easy, medium or hard. Start on easy until you understand this game.
There is a bit of balance in terms of making money, and keeping your
citizens happy. The story in Anno 1701 Dawn of Discovery revolves around
two queens. They could have put a bit more clothing on if you know what
I mean.
The music in Anno 1701 Dawn of Discovery is really nice. I enjoyed
listening to it while making my little civilizations better. I also
loved helping out and sending tribute back to the queen. Other times I
got to send tribute to some local leader. I would have rather crushed
them, but that may have been a bad idea at that point in time. The
graphics are small but decent. There is some violence as invaders will
attack and we must fight them off.
The touch controls work great in Anno 1701 Dawn of Discovery. This
Nintendo DS video game explains what to do if you go through the Story
Mode. We build certain things in a specific order to make our towns
work. We can raise or lower taxes depending on the situation. There is a
cool guide that explains what needs to be done next in Anno 1701 Dawn of
Discovery.
I hope this franchise comes back to the hand held video game systems in
the future. I really enjoyed my time with Anno 1701 Dawn of Discovery. I
learned about how to start a civilization on an island, and how to
interact with other dignitaries. Anno 1701 Dawn of Discovery is more
family friendly than it is not. It was a pleasure to play and review
Anno 1701 Dawn of Discovery on the Nintendo DS.
