Bomber Crew

It pleases me that Family Friendly Gaming was given a digital download code for Bomber Crew on the Nintendo Switch. Families can find Bomber Crew on the PC, PS4, and Xbox One as well. There is no physical copy edition of Bomber Crew which is a real shame. I would love to see games like Bomber Crew in the physical copy realm. More and more indie games are making the leap, so maybe Bomber Crew will in the future.

Bomber Crew starts us out in 1942. We are in control of a crew of bombers in World War II. Expect to micro manage things in Bomber Crew. You will have to move your gunner around the plane to different turrets. You will need to check for markers in the sky as to where to fly to next. You will need to tell the pilot to put the landing gear down before landing. Bomber Crew slowly adds the different commands and players must remember them in future missions.

The graphics are blocky in Bomber Crew. We can play Bomber Crew in Campaign or Challenge Mode. When we are back at base we can Recruit, get the Crew Gear, modify the Aircraft, and go to a Briefing. The issues families will have with Bomber Crew are violence, bad language, questionable images on planes, and more. The controls can be confusing at first in Bomber Crew too.

I hated having to constantly tag navigation markers in Bomber Crew. Going inside and outside the plane is easy enough. Bomber Crew starts nice and slow with what needs to be done. Before long I was moving around like a mad man trying to keep up with everything. The 1940s music was interesting to hear in Bomber Crew. At least the music sounded like it was from that era to me.

Bomber Crew has a lot of charm to it. I enjoyed playing this downloadable only title on the Nintendo Switch. Bomber Crew is a clever idea that has a different take on war games. I hope to see more games like Bomber Crew in the near future. It was a pleasure for me to play and review Bomber Crew on the Nintendo Switch. There is enough to do in Bomber Crew to warrant the price of admission.
