Chiki-Chiki Boxy Racers

I appreciate UNTIES sending Family Friendly Gaming a digital download code for Chiki-Chiki Boxy Racers on the Nintendo Switch. This is an interesting looking racing game that has more than just racing. There are twenty blocky looking vehicles in Chiki-Chiki Boxy Racers. There are twelve race tracks in Chiki-Chiki Boxy Racers. There are two controls schemes in Chiki-Chiki Boxy Racers.

If Minecraft decided to do a top down racer I believe Chiki-Chiki Boxy Racers would be what was come up with. There is no first person mode in Chiki-Chiki Boxy Racers. I want to be clear on that. The indie graphics Chiki-Chiki Boxy Racers are better than I was expecting. There are some neat visual special effects like when we are boosting. The track regions of city, jungle, and beach show some visual diversity.

Chiki-Chiki Boxy Racers is only available in the digital downloadable format to my knowledge. There are no US versions of Chiki-Chiki Boxy Racers in the physical copy realm. Which is a shame because Chiki-Chiki Boxy Racers would make a great physical copy game. The modes available in Chiki-Chiki Boxy Racers are Single, Multi, Local, Online, and Option.

There are two main ways to play Chiki-Chiki Boxy Racers. They are Race and Battle. Race is just like it sounds. We race in that mode. The Battle mode is where we can do different party games. The party games in Chiki-Chiki Boxy Racers are Coins, Smash, Paint, and Goal. In the first we collect coins, in the second we knock boxes off the platform, in the third we paint the ground, and in the fourth we score goals with soccer balls.

I enjoyed playing Chiki-Chiki Boxy Racers on the Nintendo Switch. I had problems with the controls at first. Once I tried both control schemes and figured out how to control the car I was winning races in Chiki-Chiki Boxy Racers. The race portion of Chiki-Chiki Boxy Racers is a bit short. Thankfully there is so much more to do in this blocky video game. I hope to see more games like this on in the future.
