Despicable Me 2

I want to thank the readers for reminding me we had not reviewed Despicable Me 2 yet. We have already reviewed Despicable Me, and Despicable Me 3. So we needed to finish it off with Despicable Me 2. What happened is we used to watch movies, and then watch them later for a review. As there are so many products to cover there are all kinds of products that fell between the cracks. Despicable Me 2 was one of them. That is being rectified right now.

Despicable Me 2 is filled with plenty of funny moments. Gru is working on a line of jellies and jams now. He has given up villainy. Then the AVL comes along and recruits him to be a force of good. The Anti Villainy League is like secret agents that try to stop super villains from their massive crimes. Gru is up for the challenges. Little does he know his minions are being stolen right from under his nose.

The issues families can have with Despicable Me 2 is mild cartoon violence, lack of attire, enticement to lust, crude humor, and more. Despicable Me 2 also deals with some interesting issues. The girls want a mother. So they want Gru to date. They want a female presence in their lives. Studies show the best atmosphere for kids is a father and a mother in the home.

The storyline in Despicable Me 2 is redemption mixed with a bit of a love story. It is interesting to see two characters not like one another at first. Later they wind up falling in love with one another. Steve Carell does a fantastic job in Despicable Me 2. The bonus content on the DVD we purchased i Gru's Girls, Gadgets Galore, and Feature Commentary. it takes one hour and thirty-eight minutes to watch Despicable Me 2.

I am glad this franchise continues. Despicable Me 2 is the best one of the three for me personally. I love how Gru gives up being evil, and tries to do good instead. He may not be the best secret agent, but his gut instinct is correct. The date scene where he is wearing a wig is very interesting indeed. It also shows Gru something very important in his life. If your family has not seen Despicable Me 2, then check it out.
