Dust An Elysian Tail
SCORE: 77
Every so often a video game comes along
that reminds me of the old Disney 16-bit videos. This time that game is
Dust An Elysian Tail. The animation and attention to detail in Dust An
Elysian Tail are absolutely amazing. This is a video game that
transcends being a video game. It gives us interesting characters,
humor, and an engaging storyline. Much of the story of Dust An Elysian
Tail is predictable.
The issues families will have with Dust An Elysian Tail are violence,
blood, bad language, and more. We hack and slash our way through a lot
of enemies in three different difficulty settings in this downloadable
only title. This is one of those video games that deserves to be in the
physical copy format. I felt Dust An Elysian Tail is like Aladdin on the
Sega Genesis. Dust An Elysian Tail does look, sound, and play better
though.
The voice acting in Dust An Elysian Tail is good. I liked hearing the
voices and the emotions based on the situation. Dust An Elysian Tail
does so many things right that I am amazed this game is not being sold
at retail. Family Friendly Gaming was given a code for Dust An Elysian
Tail on the Nintendo Switch. The religious elements in Dust An Elysian
Tail are a bit odd. More on that in just a bit.
Dust An Elysian Tail starts out with the main character not knowing who
he is. Yes I know that has been overused in the video game industry.
That dead horse has been kicked so much there are only dry bones left.
The industry is now kicking those dry bones hoping new life will be
breathed into them. SPOILER ALERT! Dust actually has two souls in him.
One of them was a murderer of the Moonbloods. The other tried to stop
the murderer.
As we progress through Dust An Elysian Tail we get new skills, powers,
and level up. There are plenty of items to purchase, and sell in Dust An
Elysian Tail. There are a lot of different characters in Dust An Elysian
Tail to deal with. I love all of the hidden treasures and side quests in
Dust An Elysian Tail. The easiest difficulty setting makes Dust An
Elysian Tail a game casual gamers can play. Hardcore gamers can find all
the secrets and play on a harder difficulty setting.
