Ghost in the Shell
SCORE: 64
Ghost in the Shell was covered in the first FFG Haul video. For more

isn't it? I appreciate all of the positive feedback about the
transparency of the FFG Haul videos. I purchased the Blu-ray + DVD +
Digital version of Ghost in the Shell.
I knew about the anime, and might have even seen the anime movie some
years ago. I was very curious to see the live action version of Ghost in
the Shell. Scarlett Johansson does not really fit the character in my
opinion. She did a masterful job in the role. I was not expecting much
from her, but she did it quite well. The camera also hid her body parts
that do not really fit the character from the anime. Although to be fair
few women could fit that mold.
The issues families need to be aware of is blood, violence, lack of
attire, enticement to lust, deceit, lies, bad language, attacks on
companies, and more. Ghost in the Shell tries to give a social
commentary on humans and robots mixing. The main character is a brain
inside a robot body. Her memories have been suppressed and she was given
a new past. Thing is she needs to keep taking some medicine to keep
those memories suppressed.
There is some cool special effects in Ghost in the Shell. I love seeing
those giant holograms advertising different products. The stealth
technology is neat to see. It is something also featured in the first
Future Glimpses book. The concept of hacking humans is becoming more
realistic as each day progresses. I am not interested in enhancements if
that is the potential outcome. Why invite some hacker to take over your
body?
It took me 106 minutes to watch Ghost in the Shell. The bonus content is
Hard-Wired Humanity Making Ghost in the Shell, Section 9 Cyber
Defenders, and Man & Machine The Ghost Philosophy. I found Ghost in the
Shell to be a very interesting movie to watch. The storyline kept me
interested from the beginning to the end. Finding out about her past was
very interesting indeed.
