Head:Set S
SCORE: 75
Family Friendly Gaming has covered
Snakebyte products for many years now. They have some interesting and
innovative ideas. We were sent a copy of the Head:Set S not that long
ago. Did you see my Unboxing video? If not then please click
here. There are some good things about this headset and there are
some bad things. More of that in this review.
I love the long extension cord that came with the Head:Set S. That is a
very handy fifteen foot cable. The ear muff pieces of the Head:Set S can
fold into the head band part so the Head:Set S takes up less room. These
are really cool innovations. On top of that the microphone is
detachable. I believe a different microphone could be used if the plug
is compatible. Please note I did not try that.
I checked the current price of Head:Set S on Amazon. Right now Head:Set
S is selling for one penny below twenty dollars. That is pretty good for
a headset. It also alleviates some of my concerns about the Head:Set S.
What are those? The Head:Set S look flimsy. The microphone recording of
the Head:Set S does not sound very good in my opinion. Please note I
have been using microphones alone that cost close to two hundred
dollars.
The volume control of the Head:Set S is really neat. It is on both sides
of the microphone mute button. So we can easily scroll the volume up and
down. I had problems getting the Head:Set S to fit on my head. The ear
muffs are on the small side for my tastes. The color scheme of the
Head:Set S is pretty neat looking. I like that red on the black
background.
Head:Set S also references Fortnite on the box. Why is that? Head:Set S
is Fortnite compatible. I did not know anything special was needed to
use a headset with Fortnite. Any of my complaints or issues with the
Head:Set S is tempered with the reality this is a very economical
headset. I do not know what anyone would expect for twenty dollars. If
there are any issues with durability I will update this review.
