Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8

I have all kinds of warm and fuzzy feelings towards Family Friendly Gaming for purchasing a copy of Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 on the Playstation 4. The PR and Marketing failures over at Square Enix continue with this remastered experience. Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 contains Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance HD, Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep A Fragmentary Passage, and Kingdom Hearts X Back Cover. That last one is just the movies from the game. We get no game play action from it.

In my opinion Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 should sell for no more than twenty dollars brand new. We get a Nintendo 3DS video game on a home console. We also get an add on to a Playstation Portable game. Finally we get the movies from an iOS and Android app. Not much there. The current price for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 is over inflated. These are difficult games to play too. Why? They put me to sleep every time I play them.

The issues families need to be informed of that are within Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 are violence, false gods, spirits, magic, lack of attire, enticement to lust, confusing storylines, and more. Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 has some very colorful areas. We have to fight consistently in the first game, or we wind up swapping to the other character. The control schemes in Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 leave a lot to be desired.

I like how Square Enix took three hand held games, and remastered them on the home console. Okay one we don’t get to play, and another one is an add on mission. Still they are putting multiple older games together and releasing them on newer systems. This is handy in the terms of the PSP game since those machines are notorious for breaking down so often.

I hated the diving levels in Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance HD. Enemies in the games within Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 love to move around. It can be a real pain to get to them. Thankfully the auto tracking in the attack can be helpful if you are close enough. I had to spin the camera around so often it got me sick. The lame control scheme in Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 added to that frustration.
