Light Fall
SCORE: 59
Family Friendly Gaming was emailed a
digital download code for Light Fall on the Nintendo Switch. This
downloadable only dark video game is also available on the Personal
Computer (PC) on that Steam format. Light Fall looks a lot like the
despised Limbo video game. Graphically I describe Light Fall as dark,
dreary, depressing, and down. Add in the difficulty and I had little fun
with this game.
An old owl befriends and helps the player in Light Fall. What exactly
are we in Light Fall? I don't know. I am not sure I want to know. I had
to hear all about these false gods. Why can't game developers respect
the super majority religious belief in America? Why do too many game
developers want to proselytize their pagan religious beliefs to us? It
makes a bad experience even worse.
The small graphics in Light Fall did not bother me that much. The bad
language did. Why was that needed? Why put that into Light Fall in the
first place? All it does it limit the lower the potential audience. Just
like some other things already mentioned in this review. Look at the
success of games like Minecraft. They put a church in the town. Why are
these concepts so difficult for so many people?
Light Fall does have one interesting feature. We have a trinity box with
us. We jump, and press that button again for a box to appear below us.
We can also wall jump on one side to get higher. If you really want to
show how good you are you can try to do a speed run of Light Fall. I
can't even do a regular run of the long levels in Light Fall. So no
speed run for me. I checked and no one here wants to do a video of Light
Fall for our successful Youtube channel.
The music in Light Fall is dark and depressing as well. The old man
narrating is pretty good. I think our EIC would make a good narrator for
games. Maybe one of these game developers will read this review and hire
him for an upcoming game. It would be cool hearing his voice in a game.
I hoped Light Fall would shine a light in the darkness like Jesus Christ
did for this world. Light Fall let me down. Thankfully Jesus Christ
never has, and never will.
