Link-a-Pix Color

Thank you Lightwood Games for sending Family Friendly Gaming a digital download code for Link-a-Pix Color on the Nintendo 3DS. This is a cute little puzzle game that reminds me of the Piczle Lines Jr apps on iOS. Link-a-Pix Color is a bit smaller in terms of the graphics and there is no zoom in feature. There are 120 exclusive puzzles in Link-a-Pix Color on the 3DS.

There are numbers on the grid of each puzzle in Link-a-Pix Color. Let us say there is a three, a space, and a three. We draw a line from the three across the space to the other three. That completes those two numbers. There is also a picture of what we are creating. So you can try to use that to discern what the final object will be. Link-a-Pix Color is fun and slightly educational. You will need to think in this puzzle video game.

Link-a-Pix Color has nice music to listen to while solving the puzzles. It does not take long to solve the puzzles in Link-a-Pix Color. This is the perfect little hand held video game since you can play for a bit and then take a break. Or go and do something else IRL. I found myself humming along to the music in Link-a-Pix Color. You might wind up doing the same thing yourself.

There is one problem I ran into with Link-a-Pix Color. At times the lines would not draw where I wanted them to. I do not know why this came up from time to time. I wish there was a zoom feature because that same issue was in Piczle Lines Jr until I zoomed in. Then it got a lot better with the collision detection. Link-a-Pix Color did frustrate me a few times with no drawing where I wanted it to go. I found I could get a cursor on the screen and finish if it got really stuck.

I have played this kind of a game before. I loved it then, and still play it on my iPad from time to time. My hubby also spends time with Piczle Puzzle Jr. Link-a-Pix Color is not quite as good as Piczle Puzzle Jr. It is a good attempt on the Nintendo 3DS. I would like to see more games like Link-a-Pix Color in the future. It was a pleasure for me to play and review Link-a-Pix Color on the 3DS.
