Did you see the Unboxing video my brother and I did of Shelter
Generations? If not, please click
here. Shelter Generations includes Shelter 2, Paws, the Soundtrack
for Shelter 2, and the soundtrack for Paws. The two video games are set
in the same world. In Shelter 2 we play a mother Lynx taking care of her
cubs. In Paws we play one of the cubs that gets separated from the
mother.
Shelter Generations has distinctive indie graphics that I have adapted
to. Shelter Generations is also very realistic in how animals behave. We
hunt and kill other animals in Shelter Generations. Our animal then eats
them. This is to survive. There is some mild blood as we eat the
different animals. Shelter Generations is very smart in teaching us the
tools we need to survive.
I am very thankful Family Friendly Gaming was given one of the limited
retail versions of Shelter Generations. This is the kind of an indie
game that deserves to be in the physical realm. Family Friendly Gaming
has been advocating for physical copy versions of indie games. It is
wonderful to see Super Rare Games providing that service to the
industry. My brother wants to see games like Shelter Generations at
retail stores.
The music in Shelter Generations is cool to listen to. This is probably
why the soundtracks are included in this game. The animal sounds in
Shelter Generations are extremely realistic. I felt like I was out in
the wild with a family of lynxes'. Shelter Generations helped me feel
like I was right there. With very little words on the screen Shelter
Generations relays emotions.
I had fun playing Shelter Generations on the Nintendo Switch. So did
others here at Family Friendly Gaming. Moving around the camera felt
weird at first. I loved sniffing to find animals and tracks in Shelter
Generations. The price of Shelter Generations is reasonable with all of
the content included. I hope to see more games like Shelter Generations
come out in the future. If you want a copy you will have to be quick
since there is a limited supply.
