Solo A Star Wars Story

As long time members of Family Friendly Gaming Universe know I have been critical of the new Star Wars movies. I stopped reading Star Wars books where Han and Leai get married have multiple kids, Luke gets married has a son and becomes the Jedi Grandmaster. The new movies put all of those books through the shredder and destroyed a really cool future to Star Wars. Those movies were also extremely depressing.

I had heard all kinds of bad things about Solo A Star Wars Story. I heard there were all kinds of horrible reviews, and that it was a disappointment at the box office. I have never been one to go with the crowd or let others influence my opinions on entertainment. I am very thankful Disney sent Family Friendly Gaming a reviewable copy of Solo A Star Wars Story on Blu-ray + Digital.

The issues families can have with Solo A Star Wars Story are violence, gambling, theft, lying, a few bad words, and more. Solo A Star Wars Story is an action movie that can really get the blood pumping. Do not watch Solo A Star Wars Story before going to bed. I did and I had trouble going to sleep because the action in Solo A Star Wars Story wired me like caffeine.

If you like action adventure movies that have some cool moments then you should like Solo A Star Wars Story. I did. I really enjoyed Solo A Star Wars Story. I like this movie better than Star Wars VII and Star Wars VIII. There are plenty of funny parts. I noticed quite a bit of Solo A Star Wars Story follows the known cannon for Star Wars. I did some research and there are a couple of mild cannon complaints from others. Nothing too big in my opinion.

It is neat to see Han Solo's origins, and how he wins the Millennium Falcon. The actors and actresses do a good job in Solo A Star Wars Story. This movie starts out not feeling like Hans Solo, but in the end he grows into the role. There is an entire disc of bonus features included with Solo A Star Wars Story. There are deleted scenes, round table, the Kessel run, remaking the Millennium Falcon, Team Chewie and more. This is a fun action packed movie.
