Solo

Have you heard about Solo on the Personal Computer (PC)? If not you are going to hear all about it now. Solo is one of the strangest video games I have ever played. Solo is described by Team Gotham as an introspective puzzler. In other words one of those paintings at the museum you are supposed to stare and get thoughts. If I want to get thoughts I will meditate on the Holy Bible and talk to God.

Solo has peaceful music in it. If you like that kind of music then you will enjoy that part of Solo. I however like music that will keep me awake. Especially a game like Solo where this is little to no direction. Those kinds of games make me sleepy. Add the music and then I can be taking a nap. Which is not conducive to any kind of introspective behavior. Maybe you are different from me.

The most offensive and controversial portion of Solo is it supports non-binary genders. Solo supports sexual deviancy. I know many families that will run far away from Solo because of that alone. Solo can be described as an attack on traditional Biblical marriage. Solo wants you to build relationships with whomever you decide to pursue. The weird light house really pushed that on me.

There are a dizzying amount of controls in Solo. Which would not be a problem if they worked right. The camera is annoying, aggravating, confusing, and strange. I guess the poor camera fits the rest of this game. Why am I so down on the camera in Solo? It is on this gyroscope that sent me into rage quitting on more than one occurrence. I would play a fighter jet game if I wanted down to become up. Solo is about as backwards as Holly Weird.

The Wind Waker like graphics in Solo look nice. The lack of custom controls hurts this downloadable only odd game. The controller support is nice. Solo could port over to the consoles and offend more gamers than it will on the PC. The main aspect of Solo is answering questions to the highly offensive lighthouse. I wish Solo had more family friendly content. I wish I could give it a better report. Sadly the developers knew what they were doing.
