Star Wars The Last Jedi

To give you full disclosure, I am not a fan of JJ Abrahams. I believe he ruined the Star Trek franchise, and has now done the same to the Star Wars franchise. I am still mystified as to why all the cannon books about Luke Skywalker having a son, and being the Jedi Grandmaster were thrown out the window. Star Wars The Last Jedi feels like an attack on the Jedi. Maybe the current Star Wars trilogy will wind up like Dragon Ball GT.

Star Wars The Last Jedi also feels like a goodbye to Luke Skywalker. Star Wars The Force Awakens was a goodbye to Hans Solo. Hans should still be around. He and Leai were supposed to have multiple kids. One became a Sith Lord and others became Jedi. I am thankful Disney sent Family Friendly Gaming a copy of Star Wars The Last Jedi on Blu-ray + Digital. Click here for the Unboxing video.

Star Wars The Last Jedi feels like a shrinking of the Star Wars universe. There are less and less rebels, and there are less and less First Order troops. The issues families can have is violence, the force religious teachings, bad language, and more. Star Wars The Last Jedi makes sure to put multiple women at the forefront as main characters. Men are generally shown as bad in Star Wars The Last Jedi.

There are some very funny moments in Star Wars The Last Jedi. There are plenty of entertaining moments as well. There are numerous colorful areas in Star Wars The Last Jedi. As a movie goes it has its moments. The fight scene after Snoke is murdered is a good one. That suicide attack is something that should have been done earlier in my opinion. Maybe by some smaller ships.

There is plenty of bonus content in this movie that takes 152 minutes to watch. The bonus content found on a disc with Star Wars The Last Jedi is The Director and the Jedi - Full Length Documentary, Deleted Scenes, Balance of the Force, Andy Serkis Live (One Night Only), Scene Breakdowns, Audio Commentary and more. Star Wars The Last Jedi is very predictable throughout the whole movie.

Maybe I am way off base. To me Star Wars The Last Jedi felt like an attempt to tear down the entire franchise. Luke's speech about the arrogance of the Jedi is very uneducated. Yoda's destruction of the original Jedi teachings feel out of character. In fact this entire Luke Skywalker feels totally out of character. I don't mind new characters. It feels like Star Wars The Last Jedi is trying to smear the old characters while placing new ones. That is what bothers me most. That and all of the disrespect for the past cannon Star Wars stories. Hopefully we will find out everything in these last two Star Wars movies were a bad dream, and the established past cannon will be confirmed.
