Family Friendly Gaming was given a digital download code for Strikers
Edge on the Playstation 4. This violent dodgeball game is very indie.
Expect indie graphics, and indie music from Strikers Edge. Steam players
can also purchase a digital download of Strikers Edge for their Personal
Computers. I was unable to unearth any information on a physical copy
release of this game.
There are eight characters in Strikers Edge. Gamers that choose to play
Strikers Edge will be able to pick any of those eight to fight with. Our
character is on one side and the opponent(s) are on the other side.
Please note in some battles we may have a two on one advantage. The goal
is to hit them enough times to take away all of their health. Gamers
must win two out of three rounds.
The issues families will have with Strikers Edge are lack of attire,
enticement to lust, magic, violence, blood, false gods, spirits, and
more. Holding the shoot button will power up a charge. There are also
special attacks that are earned in Strikers Edge. Each of the fields can
have hazards to them. What kinds of hazards? Well things like ice
falling down on you.
Strikers Edge can be played in three difficulties. These difficulties
are easy, normal, and hard. The modes in Strikers Edge are Play Online,
Play Local, Campaign, Extra, Tutorial, and Options. If you want to play
online then you must pay Sony even more money for the PS Plus
membership. That is the only way to play Strikers Edge online. Which I
found extremely lame. I refuse to pay Sony more money to play online.
We move around on our side of the field in Strikers Edge. There are
objects that can protect us. Please note they can be destroyed. The
stories in Strikers Edge are really short for each of the characters.
Strikers Edge will tell you when you get a headshot. The rockish music
fits the theme of this game. Like I said before Strikers Edge is very
indie. If you like violent indie games with retro graphics and adult
storylines then you might enjoy Strikers Edge.
