Super Hot

Family Friendly Gaming was able to download and play Super Hot on the Xbox One thanks to an Xbox Gold membership. We had to play this game on that exact account since Microsoft does not believe in sharing. Super Hot is also on the PC, and PS4. Super Hot is an indie violent video game with a very interesting twist. Time only moves in Super Hot when we move.

The main areas of play in Super Hot are Levels, Endless, and Challenges. There are thirty-three levels in the Levels section. Some are really short, and some are longer. Super Hot is a pretty short game not worth the money, or 3.68 gig download in my opinion. The storyline in Super Hot is really dark too. SPOILER ALERT! You kill yourself at the end of the game.

Super Hot is quiet in terms of music in levels. The glass like human characters in Super Hot shatter when they are shot or hit with a melee weapon. Some levels in Super Hot require some thought. Take for example you are surrounded by enemies with different weapons. Who do you kill first? There is a right way to survive it, and a wrong way. It is all up to you whether you succeed or fail.

Super Hot lets players look around, and aim before taking the shot. Time does not move when you are lining up your shot and/or looking around. This means you can plan your violent attacks before actually enacting them. Super Hot likes to say: "SUPER HOT" after you beat a level. It gave me a bit of a headache. The ASCII art for the main screen is very different.

I am not a fan of this game. It starts really easy and really boring. Then it gets more difficult. Finally it is over with. That all happened in a very short amount of time. The time mechanics in Super Hot are interesting. The replay shows it at normal speed without any of the players pauses. I do not find any monetary value for Super Hot at all in any way, shape or form.
