Tales of the Tiny Planet
SCORE: 70
In a country not that far away, not very long ago Family Friendly
Gaming was emailed two digital download codes for Tales of the Tiny
Planet on the Nintendo Switch. This physics puzzle video game contains
six planets. Each planet has twelve levels. Once you get enough stars to
open the twelfth level. Beat that twelfth level and you can go to the
next world. Until you have reached all of the planets.
The more I played Tales of the Tiny Planet the more difficult it became.
Some levels were simple to understand. Other levels require a degree of
finesse. If you are unable to beat a level then you are stuck. There is
no skipping unless you unlocked the twelfth level. I found myself
breezing through certain levels and failing other levels. What we do in
Tales of the Tiny Planet is interesting. Didn't I explain that already?
We have an orb or multiple orbs in Tales of the Tiny Planet. The goal is
to get the orb(s) to the black hole looking area. Some of ya'll may
think of apps since there are plenty of physic puzzler apps that do just
that as well. Tales of the Tiny Planet is on the Nintendo Switch. Yes I
know there are plenty of apps that have been ported to the Wii U,
Nintendo 3DS, and Nintendo Switch. We have colored platforms that can be
moved when we press a button in Tales of the Tiny Planet. Sometimes it
is as simple as moving a platform out of the way. Other times we need to
launch the orb(s) with the platforms.
The faster you complete a level in Tales of the Tiny Planet the better.
Why does speed matter in Tales of the Tiny Planet? It is how we are
scored. Players can earn one, two, or three stars in Tales of the Tiny
Planet. The faster you complete the level the more stars you will get.
Remember those stars unlock the final level in each world. Do well
enough and you can skip some levels.
The modes in Tales of the Tiny Planet are Play, Co op, How to Play,
Achievements, and Credits. The little orbs will explode if you bring
them into contact with things like spikes, or if you run out of time.
The music is different. The graphics are minimalist. Technically the
music is as well. Tales of the Tiny Planet is definitely an indie video
game. There are no hints if you get stuck. Figure it out or give up.
