Tetra's Escape

Family Friendly Gaming was given a code for Tetra's Escape on the PS4, PS Vita, and Nintendo Switch. I played Tetra's Escape on the Nintendo Switch. Tetra's Escape contains sixty-four levels and it can take seven hours to complete this downloadable only video game from start to finish. Tetra's Escape is an action puzzle video game. What do I mean by that? Read on in this review to find out.

It just a little over four hundred megs to download Tetra's Escape. The main character in Tetra's Escape has some interesting abilities. The abilities are Block Jump, Rotation, Mirror Effect, Transform and Bomb. These block like creatures will turn into Tetris blocks. Why is that handy? The characters can not progress to the exit without a clear path. This is what the Tetris blocks do for us.

The music in Tetra's Escape is really keen. There is a story mode only in Tetra's Escape. The graphics look blocky and indie. It goes with the theme of the action puzzler though. Especially one that uses Tetris shapes. Tetra's Escape comes with a rumble feature. That can be turned off thankfully. In many ways Tetra's Escape feels like an app to me. Maybe apps have permeated our gaming culture so much.

I did some research while working on this review and found Tetra's Escape does come in app form. So I was right on target with my initial assessment. I could be right about the permeation as well. If you have thoughts on that then fire off an email to us. There are numerous combinations of which blocks can be used, and where in Tetra's Escape. That is part of the fun of this game.

Normally indie games make me question the sanity of those selling video games. Tetra's Escape does not fit into that box for me. In fact I actually honestly, and truly enjoyed playing Tetra's Escape on the Nintendo Switch. I wish Tetra's Escape came in the extremely respected physical copy format. I love how Tetra's Escape is sold on multiple systems.
