VR Jogger

We have been hungry for anything VR for some time now here at Family Friendly Gaming. VR releases that interest us are so few and far between. When I found out Ensenasoft released a new VR video game we were all over it. VR Jogger is an on rails jogging simulator. You can just walk it if that is more your pace. I will touch back on that topic later in this review. VR Jogger is also completely free.

I love the concept of VR Jogger. The idea of moving your arms up and down to simulate jogging is a good idea. Graphically VR Jogger is a mixed bag. The butterflies, cows, and trees look great. The ground could use some work. There are weird looking things to look at in VR Jogger too. Like Easter Island statues not too far off from a farm. VR Jogger can get you nauseous if you go too fast.

VR Jogger has three courses in it. There is a light, medium, and long. The light takes three minutes at a good clip, the medium takes six, and the long takes thirteen. You can beat those times if you get moving. I did that at first, and then decided I wanted to see the scenery and explore the area some more. I wish VR Jogger let us go off the track and see what else is out there. That would also be a good way to hide some Easter Eggs like those statues.

This downloadable only virtual reality game is quite the experience. VR Jogger is designed to help us get some exercise. I love the idea, and believe VR Jogger could be truly amazing with some extra work. I would love to see some DLC that takes us to different areas. Maybe even a track course where we could run a mile in VR Jogger. I doubt it would be that hard to give us an oval track.

If you are looking for a VR video game based on exercise and are strapped for cash then check out VR Jogger. I am glad we did. I wanted to record a game play of VR Jogger but our recording device has conflicts with the Oculus Rift VR headset. We will have to find a different way to record VR Jogger on Steam. I hope to see more games like VR Jogger in the near future.
