VSR Void Space Racer
SCORE: 58
Family Friendly Gaming was given a digital
download code for VSR Void Space Racer on the Nintendo Switch. This
space based racer has some unique indie physics. The indie graphics in
VSR Void Space Racer look nice. I love flying around the eight levels in
the three vehicles. The music in VSR Void Space Racer is fun to listen
to. It can get a bit old after a few game play sessions.
The biggest issue and problem with VSR Void Space Racer are the
controls. The difficulty level in VSR Void Space Racer is pretty tough
too. Even on the easiest setting I was getting smoked by the computer by
multiple minutes. The collision detection is questionable. I learned if
I got close but did not go through the ring VSR Void Space Racer would
say I skipped it.
Do not go through the rings backwards in VSR Void Space Racer. That will
also result in a penalty for skipping a ring. We get going pretty fast
in VSR Void Space Racer. Why is that a problem? Imagine trying to do a a
complete 3D U-turn at high speeds. Loose does not even begin to describe
my experiences racing in VSR Void Space Racer on the Nintendo Switch.
The controls are limited to four controls. They are tilt left, tilt
right, accelerate, and brakes. BTW the tutorial for VSR Void Space Racer
misspells brakes. VSR Void Space Racer has a false goddess in it. In my
opinion VSR Void Space Racer is for hardcore gamers who love a
challenge, and can adapt to the controls. I do not see VSR Void Space
Racer as a game for families or casual gamers.
