Access Denied
SCORE: 67
Puzzle games usually do extremely well here at Family Friendly
Gaming. Which is why I volunteered to play and review Access Denied once
we were provided a digital download code. To be transparent there are no
physical copy editions of Access Denied in the United States at this
time. There are thirty-six levels in this home console video game.
I need to get something off my chest concerning Access Denied right now.
I wanted to like this game so much. What was my problem then? I could
not figure out what to do in some of the puzzles. If that were not
frustrating enough I could not always understand where to interact. Some
of these puzzles made no sense to me at all. I could not fathom what I
needed to do. Others I had trouble finding the right spots to interact
to get it to do what I wanted it to do.
The music in Access Denied is fantastic. I loved listening to the rain
fall while I attempted to solve the puzzles. Access Denied lets families
skip a few puzzles here and there. You will need to solve enough of the
puzzles to unlock additional ones. There is no timer on the puzzles in
Access Denied. Rotate the shapes around and try to find something to
interact with. We can also zoom in and zoom out in this game.
The graphics in Access Denied are nice to look at. They are not top of
the line, but no horrible either. The animations work decently. Access
Denied feels like a few years old personal computer video game to me.
Whenever I did finally solve a puzzle in Access Denied I felt good.
There is no tutorial in Access Denied. Either you figure this game out,
or you quit. Some people might even rage quit. Do not expect hints or
anything in this game.
Access Denied is a 385 meg download, so it should not cripple your
system in terms of memory usage. I love the concept of this game. I just
wish there was some hint system when the player is totally stuck. Maybe
something that shows where to interact. I would also like to know why
tapping one spot works the first time and not the second time. Access
Denied made me think.
