Animal Super Squad

Family Friendly Gaming was provided a digital download code for
Animal Super Squad on the Xbox One. This physics based adventure video
game is strange on so many levels. First off we are playing a chicken.
This chicken rolls around through the level and jumps. Then the chicken
can drive a variety of different vehicles. At times you might find
yourself just a chicken leg rolling around.
To say Animal Super Squad is strange would be an understatement. I am
not that big on the graphical style personally. You may be into this
kind of art. The music in Animal Super Squad is okay. It did little to
deal with my frustration when I was stuck in a section of a level. The
vehicles have some kind of boost or lift to them. Flying in those clouds
can be irritating.
The controls feel good a lot of the time in Animal Super Squad. There
are times when I got stuck places or consistently fell in the exact same
spot. I also noticed that there might be a small hole in a long line of
flooring in Animal Super Squad. Guess where I fell? Right into that
hole. It was like my vehicle was attracted to the one spot I needed to
stay away from. Repawning is easy in Animal Super Squad.
I love how we can move the vehicles in Animal Super Squad. What do I
mean by that? We can angle a vehicle up so our boost will launch us over
the hole in the flooring. There are plenty of other things that can hurt
us though. I hated being on any platform that moved in Animal Super
Squad. Why? Staying on them was quite challenging. I did eventually
figure it out.
The modes in Animal Super Squad are Adventure, Featured Levels, Editor,
Community, and Pilots and Hats. We collect pilots and hats while we play
Animal Super Squad and can change when we see fit. Animal Super Squad
did the strangest thing when I first turned it on - it tried to get me
to purchase Xbox Live Gold. What is up with that? I did not play the
online portions, so I suspect that is what was going on.
