Bouncy Bullets

I am thankful Family Friendly Gaming was given a digital download code to Bouncy Bullets on the Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PS Vita. This first person perspective get to the exit concept is one of the strangest games I have played in my entire life. It is like going into a 3D world that is a mixture of Candy Land and Adventure Time. Let that sink in for a moment. Bouncy Bullets lets us start the game or check the leaderboards at the beginning.

There are two kinds of levels in Bouncy Bullets. The two kinds are normal levels and special levels. The total level count of Bouncy Bullets is eighty-four. The levels in Bouncy Bullets are broken out between multiple chapters with multiple levels in each of the chapters. We can shoot things in Bouncy Bullets. There are also enemies that shoot at us. The bullet drop rate is real. It feels more like throwing something at someone.

The music in Bouncy Bullets is just odd. I cannot find words to describe it. You would have to hear it to understand. It feels like Bouncy Bullets went out of its way to be as strange as possible. If you are into that kind of game then you might enjoy Bouncy Bullets. We start in one spot and must work our way to the exit. This require precision jumping in first person 3D levels.

I found the controls to be a bit loose in Bouncy Bullets. I would have liked the controls to be a bit tighter. I missed platforms and died too many times to count. I got tired of constantly dying at one point. I believe Bouncy Bullets is for the hardcore gamers who like a challenge based on the controls. Bouncy Bullets is a 121 megabyte download. There are no physical copy version of this game in the US on this system at this time.

The violent content is on the light side in my opinion. Blocky looking characters shooting small blocks at us does not warrant railing against the violence. Our character returns the same behavior to the ones shooting at us. It would have been nice to rise above acting the same in my opinion. Bouncy Bullets is not my kind of a video game.
