Family Friendly Gaming was given a digital download code for Cybarian The Time Traveling Warrior on multiple systems. The code for the Nintendo Switch was used and the other two were offered for Twitch followers that send us a whisper which system they want. Family Friendly Gaming is so cool about giving away codes and asking for so little in return.

Cybarian The Time Traveling Warrior is a retro looking and playing video game. I would place Cybarian The Time Traveling Warrior in the early 16-bit era. Cybarian The Time Traveling Warrior feels like an old Genesis game at times. That includes the warts and all if you know what I mean. The retro sound track also feels like it is from that era. The music is okay in Cybarian The Time Traveling Warrior.

There are three difficulty settings in Cybarian The Time Traveling Warrior. I found even the easiest setting to be too hard. I would go in and attack an enemy in this 2D screen scrolling video game. Before I could do anything the enemy would attack me right back. Characters only have so many hearts in Cybarian The Time Traveling Warrior. I died early and often in this downloadable only video game.

The issues families will have with Cybarian The Time Traveling Warrior are violence, blood, and more. Cybarian The Time Traveling Warrior hints at a religious system that most likely attacks the beliefs of the super majority of Americans. I could not get far enough in Cybarian The Time Traveling Warrior to find out for sure. Others tried this game and got just as stuck.

I did not have fun playing Cybarian The Time Traveling Warrior. This game feels like too many other indie games that have come and fallen by the wayside over the last five to six years. The storyline of a time traveling hero is the most interesting thing about Cybarian The Time Traveling Warrior in my thoughts. Hard games like Cybarian The Time Traveling Warrior will not reach many casual and family gamers.
